Princeton upsets No. 17 Freehold Twp – CJG4 Tourney, first round – Girls soccer recap

Goalie Julia Zaldarriaga made 13 saves for 16th-seeded Princeton and helped take down first-seeded Freehold Township, No. 17 in the NJ.com Top 20, in a 1-0 win via a 5-4 shootout victory in the first round of the Central Jersey, Group 4 Tournament in Freehold.
Princeton head coach Meghan Brennan had nothing but praise for the opposition.
“Freehold is an excellent team,” Brennan said. “They’re super talented and played great soccer. They always have, so we came in knowing we have our work cut out for us and this was going to be a huge challenge for us.”
